Regulations and Constraints in Exceptional Transport

At Van Egdom, we strictly comply with Belgian and European exceptional transport regulations.

In Belgium, a transport is considered exceptional when the dimensions or weight exceed standard limits:
2.55 m width, 4 m height, and 44 tons for a 5-axle combination.

All exceptional transport operations require prior authorization, specifying the route and rules to follow. Vehicles are categorized based on their dimensions and weight, and some convoys require certified escorts.

As of January 2024, specific regulations apply to escorting convoys in Wallonia. Compliance with these rules is essential to ensure safety and protect infrastructure.
